Andromeda Galaxy
Andromeda Galaxy, has many terms for its mention, namely: Messier 31 (M31), NGC 224, UGC 454, and PGC 2557. Andromeda Galaxy is a spiral galaxy that is a neighbor of the Milky Way Galaxy. The distance between the Andromeda Galaxy and Earth can reach 780 kiloparsec which is equivalent to 2.5 million light years (2,3651826 x 1019 km). This galaxy is inside the Pisces-Cetus Supercluster Complex, precisely located on the Virgo Supercluster, which includes the Andromeda Subgroup. This galaxy is in the constellation of Andromeda. You can look the Andromeda constellation at below.
The Andromeda Galaxy can seen from the earth with the naked eye, on condition: seen on a clear night, without moon, and light pollution. This galaxy is located in the Northern Hemisphere sky, about 41 degrees north of the sky equator, both observed around September, October and November. With the naked eye, this galaxy looks like a small thin fog in the northern sky, but if observed with binoculars that can show dim stars at the edge of the Andromeda galaxy, it turns out that Andromeda's size can be more than 7 times the angle of the moon.
Andromeda Galaxy is a galaxy that has a size twice of larger of the Milky Way Galaxy. The Milky Way Galaxy has a diameter of around 100,000 - 110,000 light years, while the Andromeda Galaxy has a diameter of about 220,000 - 240,000 light years. The Andromeda Galaxy Center, consisting of large dust, gas, stars, and halos. Judging from its enormous size, scientists estimate that in the Andromeda Galaxy there is 1 Trillion stars.
However, the Andromeda Galaxy is considered less massive compared to the Milky Way Galaxy, because the Milky Way Galaxy has darker material and Supermassive black holes in it. In its development, scientists claim that the Andromeda Galaxy is getting longer, getting closer to the Milky Way Galaxy. The Andromeda galaxy is estimated to collide with the Milky Way Galaxy and form a new and larger combined galaxy. In its journey, the Andromeda Galaxy has a speed of 300 km / second approaching the Milky Way Galaxy. If we calculate further, each year this galaxy approaches Earth 9,4608 billion km.
So that I have made. Happy reading and hopefully this blog can give more information. We will continue to update it to maintain the quality of our information. If there is an error, please forgive. Your comment is the cornerstone of this blog builder. Finally, I say thank you to the readers.
